Ordering goods through our online shop

Product and Packaging Variations
Due to varying differences in computer screen resolutions, software and technology variations in some colours shown may vary slightly to those of the actual product you receive.

Some of our products are “handmade” therefore some products may have slight variations of colour, texture consistency and a different method of packaging maybe required.

Ordering
You can order goods from our Online Shop in two ways;

  • by placing an order online and using your credit card over our secure e-commerce link to pay for the goods using a 128 bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) where credit card details are not stored; or
  • by fax, phone or email us your signed order and credit card details or by posting us a signed order with your credit card details or a cheque drawn in Australian dollars made out to the Wadlata Outback Centre and mailed to PO Box 2083, Port Augusta, South Australia 5700.

Credit Cards
We accept the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Bankcard and American Express.

Currency Conversion
All prices shown are in Australian dollars and are indicative only. For credit card purchases, the charge shown on your credit card statement will be determined by your bank or credit card Company according to the rules.

Customs charges or local taxes
Payment of any local taxes or duties or custom charges outside of Australia is the responsibility of the customer receiving the goods ordered from our website. These charges may be levied when a package reaches your country. We are not responsible for these charges and cannot provide estimates as to what the charges may be.

Contact your local customs office for further information.
Australian resident customers or delivery within Australia, GST will be charged on all items purchased, with the exception of some food items that do not attract GST.

The buyer is liable for these charges and will not be refundable on return of goods to us.

Delivery of Goods
Goods ordered through the Website will be shipped or posted whenever possible within 5 working days of receiving the order and after the completion of payment.

Paintings or prints that can be sent rolled in a tube may be delivered by economy airmail, through Australia Post. Smaller items eg. Books, clothing etc will also be forwarded to you by economy airmail through the Australia Post.

Larger or heavy items that cannot be rolled or must be shipped flat, will be delivered by approved carrier such as TNT.

Shipments may require confirmation by signature that the goods have been received by the person who placed the original order or their agent. Signature on receipt helps to maintain security for the delivery of orders. Orders will not be shipped to a Post Office box and will only be shipped to a confirmed address and where the recipient is able to sign for the delivery of the artwork. If the purchaser is not contactable a calling card will be left at the nominated address, requesting the purchaser to collect the item from the delivery depot.

Notify us if your goods have not been received within 30 days of the date of placement of the order.

Return of goods
If you find a problem with the goods when you receive them and wish to return them, you should contact the Wadlata Outback Centre in writing, by email, fax or letter within 48 hours, giving the reasons so that we can clearly understand your concern and we can respond with the appropriate action.

Please note that we cannot refund the purchase price for a painting that you decide you do not like after it has been delivered, after it was accurately described and presented on the website. If you have any doubt about a piece work, please contact us before you buy it and we will try to satisfy any questions or concerns that you may have.

Items will only be returned, if it is found the item is misrepresented on the website, or it has been damaged in some way during transit as a result of insufficient packaging.

However the risk of loss and damage is passed on to you upon our delivery to the delivery contractor.

The Wadlata Outback Centre reserves the right to refuse any request for returns.

When you receive a reply from us confirming that we agree for you to return the products, please wrap the package securely with its original packing invoice and send it to the address of the Wadlata Outback Centre indicated on the packing slip. The products must be received by us in their original conditions or and secured in its original packaging if sealed by the manufacturer. Items agreed to be returned to us will be at your own risk and cost, therefore we recommend that you insure the return shipment. Only the purchase price of the product itself will be refunded. Any paintings returned to us damaged will require a restoration fee.

Refunds
We will notify you by email of your refund, once the returned item has been received in the required condition. We will only refund the original and return shipping costs if the return is as a result of our error.

If a refund is applicable the amount will be refunded by direct deposit or cheque.

The Wadlata Outback Centre reserves the right to refuse any refunds.

Our Guarantee and Authenticity
It is understood, the majority of our authentic Aboriginal paintings have been painted in an outside or natural environment, there-fore some of the original works of art will be painted on canvas products that may take on a “used” appearance. We undertake that the goods ordered through the website for the Wadlata Outback Centre and supplied by us will be original provenance is assured. Where possible a Certificate of Authenticity and an artist profile is supplied.

Product Descriptions
The Wadlata Outback Centre, its on-line store and associates attempt to be as accurate as possible. However, the Wadlata Outback Centre does not warrant that product descriptions or other content of this site is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free.

Aboriginal Persons to be cautious when entering this site.

As all Aboriginal products identified on this site are authentic, the Wadlata Outback Centre has attempted to showcase photographs and profiles of as many artists as possible. If a photograph, artist profile or a piece of art is included within this site of a recently deceased person, the Wadlata Outback Centre would like to inform all Aboriginal persons who may be friends or relatives, that no disrespect is intended.

Paintings
All paintings are "One of a kind". In the case that a painting is already sold, a full refund will be issued.
